Today we did a little experiment about exponential regression. We then started the exponential assignment. We will finish it tomorrow and start working on the next assignment.
MAD20S – Law of Sines

MAD30S – Test Day
Today we did the test on quadratic functions. I will mark it over the weekend. Check Homelogic to see your mark. We are starting cubic and exponential functions on Monday.
MAD20S – Barbie Goes Bungee Jumping
Today we finished up with Barbie Goes Bungee Jumping. You will hand all the sheets that go with the experiment on Monday. We will also start working on the trig review assignment. If you missed the lesson go back to Thursday’s blog entry and print off the notes.

MAD30S – Review for the test on Friday!
Since many of the Grade 10s will be away on Thursday, I handed out the review today and moved the test to Friday. The test will consist of graphing quadratics and listing all the relevant information about them, and a number of word problems, and a quadratic regression question. I am also including a SIMPLE INTEREST question (I=Prt) and one question from the linear equations unit (you have to graph two lines and find the intersection point). You need to show all your work to receive full marks.
MAD20S – Barbie Goes Bungee Jumping
Today we started Barbie Goes Bungee Jumping. We will be working on this for the next few days. We only have two more units left in Grade 10 applied math.
MAD30S – Maximum Word Problems
Today we started maximum word problems. We went over 5 different examples. Here are the answers maximum-word-examples . We then started that assignment. We will work on the assignment on Tuesday and do a review on Wednesday in preparation for the test on Thursday.
